Who We Are
Mr. Leslie S. DeWitt, Managing Partner

Leslie S. DeWitt - Photo by Michael Collopy Mr. Leslie S. DeWitt, a community development leader in the San Francisco Peninsula, founded The Fund for Peace Initiatives (FFPI) in 2002. The Atherton resident began his public service work more than 15 years ago when he founded a series of successful educational enrichment programs for under-served youth on the Peninsula including the Peninsula Bridge Program and the Compass Program. He served as the President of the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula during which time his fundraising skills and his ability to forge institutional collaboration resulted in surpassing previous fundraising levels. He also solidified a two-year grant relationship with the Oracle Corporation for 1.2 million dollars that helped fund computer-aided learning centers.

Mr. DeWitt is currently an affiliate of the Search Fund Partners, an investment enterprise in Menlo Park, California. He also serves on several local non-profit boards.

Mr. Dewitt has received numerous honors for his public service achievements from institutions including the California State Legislature, the Peninsula Community Foundation, The Boys and Girls Club of America, and Stanford University's School of Education.

Mr. DeWitt is a 43-year resident of the Menlo Park/Atherton Community. He is married with three children.


Mr. Mark Moulton, Partner

Mark Moulton - Photo by Michael Collopy Mark Moulton is a visionary Silicon Valley leader in the non-profit sector with proven fundraising ability and excellent collaborative skills. He is known as a values-driven community activist with a reputation for innovative alliance building across sectors. As the founding executive director of Peninsula Habitat for Humanity, where he worked for more than a decade, he led a team that raised over 20 million dollars. In addition to his work at the Fund for Peace Initiatives, he currently works with "The Missing Peace": The Dalai Lama Portrait Project, an art exhibition sponsored by the Dalai Lama Foundation and the Committee of 100 for Tibet.

Mr. Moulton is a native to the Bay Area. He and his wife have lived in Redwood City for 18 years.


Mary H. Rauner, Ph.D., Partner

Dr. Mary H. Rauner - Photo by Michael Collopy Dr. Mary Rauner is a social science researcher and evaluator with more than a decade of experience emphasizing issues of social justice at the national and global levels. She has held positions at Stanford University, the American Institutes for Research, Social Policy Research Associates, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Dr. Rauner has worked throughout the world including in Ethiopia and the Federated States of Micronesia (F.S.M.).

Dr. Rauner completed her graduate work in sociology and education at Stanford University. Her dissertation research includes an evaluation of the topic of peace in social studies textbooks and curricula throughout the world from 1955-1995.

Dr. Rauner lives in Redwood City with her husband and two children.
